Workbench geometry not importing into Rocky 2025 R2

Hello, is anyone having issues importing geometry files from Workbench into Rocky? I've tried with the supplied discovery tutorial files. Tried my own .stl files. None are being obtained from upstream.

It opens rocky, shows "Obtaining geometry from upstream" for a while then eventually failed and shows the error below.

I know a similar post was done for fluent-rocky. I'm trying to do Rocky-Mechanical through workbench.

      Hello,

did you install the 2025 R2 version directly from the download center via Automated Installer?

Could you try to uninstall all the products, delete the v252 folder and reinstall the products? I just tried it here with 2025 R2 and it worked.

Hello Lucas, I am a Curtin Uni student, so when I go on that downloads page it asks me to provide an "Account Number(Customer Number)". I do not have one of these so have just used the student installer from Ansys's website. Do you know a way that I could get around this?

I will investigate this problem. Fow now, could you uninstall, delete the folder and reinstall the products? Also certify that the Discovery is installed.

Hi Lucas, I have deleted and reinstalled several times, and it has not worked. I can open the geometry in Discovery by itself. Did you happen to find a way that I could download using the automated installer?

“I’m also having this error but haven’t found a way to fix it yet. Have you guys figured it out? Thanks.”

I'm experiencing this problem on both R1 and R2, and I've been trying to solve it for a long time, but I haven't found a solution. Have you found any solution?
