Hi,
There are two excitations available in Ansys Maxwell for 2D transient analysis: voltage and current. I have observed that it is only possible to add Y connection in case of voltage excited windings but not for current excited windings. My questions are as follows:
Â
- In case of current excited windings, what is the default connection assumed by Maxwell, star or delta?
- Can I get delta connection in Ansys Maxwell 2D tranient similar to Y connection?
Thank you very much!
Best Regards,
Ruchika

Hi,
Delta/Wye connection is only defined in the external circuit instead of in excitation. If you would like to use a start connection with current source, you only need two sources due to KCL.
