I am curious as to why 0 current is applied to the magnet when simulating a permanent magnet motor.

It is to make sure that the induced eddy currents are seen only in the magnet. In 2D the calculated eddy current is only seen in the Z axis, so it can be misinterpreted as a current flow, when in reality it's just scattered current loops in the material. So we assign zero current to force direct flow to be zero

First of all, thank you for your kind reply.
Do you mean that the magnet also has conductivity, so it will automatically create a current loop within the simulation program?
And I don't really understand what you can see on the z-axis in the 2D analysis and the story that it can be confused with eddy currents.
I'd appreciate it if you could explain it in a little more detail.
