SubscriberWas the middle section meshed with Beam elements on Line bodies? You don't get an Equivalent Stress on Beams. Insert the Beam Tool into the Solution to get stress results on Beams.

SubscriberThank you I will try this tomorrow when I'm back in the computer lab.
I'm just wondering, when I use beam tool will it only solve for the stress in the beams or will it solve the whole model?
Also when I tried to solve for the convergence plot it said "Convergence is not supported for results in line bodies". Will using beam tool fix that problem as well?

SubscriberSolving solves for all the elements in the model.
Reporting results from the solve depends on what type of element you wish to report on. A different report is used for Beams than for Solid elements.
Solid elements approximate the stress field in the solid body and smaller elements provide a more accurate result than large elements. The convergence tool automates using smaller elements and observing the change in stress. It continues to make the elements smaller until the change in stress falls below a tolerance.
Beam elements provide an exact solution so stress does not change with element size therefore they are not included in the convergence tool.

SubscriberHello sir, I just used the beam tool and got the stress in the middle section.
Thank you for your help and explanation.
