Was there a recently force-update of HFSS that slows the software down?

I am a researcher using Ansys Electronics Desktop (formerly HFSS) version 2023 R2 to perform simulations on a resonant structure. In the past 10 days, very suddenly, the software's performance has degraded rapidly. Now I can no longer get it to do much of anything without freezing and going into 'not responding.'

What I am trying to do now is the following: I have solved my resonant structure in HFSS/modal solution type using the 'Fast' method, and saved fields. Now, I have a calculator expression I have defined and would like to now calculate this quantity at every frequency in my frequency sweep.

It seems like it should be a trivial calculation, except that I keep getting this error: "Fast sweep field configuration. process hf3d error: Failure in assembling matrix. Please contact Ansys technical support"

The computers we use have more than enough RAM and hard drive space to run the software. Additionally, I am watching the memory usage using the Task Manager, and it never approaches 100% – there should be sufficient memory to do these calculations. So my question is, what is going on? Why is the software no longer working?

The note from "Echo Wise" is spam. I'm hoping for an actual response – in particular because the Ansys Customer Support is unwilling to help.
