Subscriberhi there,
while simulating the swirl and temperature difference in the vortex tube in the 2D modelÂ
the temperature seems to be constant and wrong despite enabling the energy equations with density-based solver
with pressure based solver the console reported that the dot product is zero for some node and then it stopped workingÂ
i made the velocity vector tangential and used the ideal gas properties.

Ansys EmployeeThe geometry does not look axis-symmetric.Â
I would rather use Pressure based solver for this kind of low-Mach-number flows.

Ansys EmployeeYour geo. Is not axisymmetric. Please add zoom of inlet region.

Subscribersorry , you asking me to zoom the inlet region ?
can you tell me what to do to make it axisymmetry ?

Ansys EmployeeThe geometry you are referring to is not axis-symmetric: You have that tangential inlet which is not evolving around the axis.

SubscriberI changed the geo to 3d
pressure based , but it doesn't work
