Hello, Velocity is a vector quantity which represents the rate of change of position of an object with respect to time. Vorticity is a curl of velocity vector. Velocity Curl represents the rigid body rotation part of velocity gradient near a given point. For further information, search using the keywords on internet. To visualize the Von Karman Flow you can make use of Vorticity contour in CFD Post.
