I am looking at the tutorial 23 which explains how to set up the modules and file paths so on for windows. Can anyone please explain how to do the same for linux?

I do not see any instructions for the same for linux. What version of compiler to use so on etc. 

If anyone would please give detailed instructions as given for tutorial 23 it would be extremely helpful

where should I define the environment variable to place the compiled files
