SubscriberWe have current license server is live on a network that is not accessible by our HPC cluster. Can we know how we can get a file based license from the existing licensing and use it on our HPC cluster which has Ansys Fluent 2021R1 configured and we are using RHEL 8.5 . Can we also know if we can use 2020 's version of ansys fluent license server for 2021 R1 on HPC?

Ansys EmployeeI do not believe this is a licensing issue, however if you want to switch where your license exists, You can have your License Administrator or Ansys Support Coordinator rehost the license key to another machine. You can also reach out to your ANSYS Account Manager.
The Error in the pic you posted look to be prerequiites missing or incompatible:
You can also search the form forÂEVP_KDF_ctrl
Other ideas may be listed.

Have you confirmed all prerequisites have been installed?

Ansys EmployeeCheck the firewall.
On the license server machine, verify that the following are added to exceptions:
lmgrd.exe
ansyslmd.exe
ansysli_server.exe

This error is usually due to the ansyslmd being bloecked. -

Ansys EmployeeYes, it should run.
That error usually mean ansyslmd is being blocked on the license server.
