SubscriberHello eveyone,
I want to ask if ANSYS uses the Return Map Algorithm and Newton Ralphson method to solve time-space problem?Â
And if it's possible to use USERMAT UMAT of ANSYS to import a new algorithm and method ?
Thank you and hope you have a nice day.
Best regards,

Ansys EmployeeHello,
The usermat.F code which comes with the install contains code for the NR procedure used in conjuction with a return mapping algorithm. See the Programmer's Reference C.4. USERMAT.F List File for This Example. If you have the supported Intel compiler and Microsoft Visual Studios (if in Windows OS) versions, then you can modify this code and link it to the ANSYS program.
