SubscriberHello,Â
Â
I have issues using the unsteady state statistics in the post processing.
Â
In my simulation i do have 49s out of 90s sampled with data sampling and I can create the curve I'd like through the tree on the left > Result > Plot > Plot Xy as it can be seen in the image.
However when i enter the post processing software, this possibility to use the data from the average isn't shown, i've produced an image of all the data I can use to create curves.
I am trying to do it on the very same line.
I do not know why but it seems that the unsteady state statistics in post processing is unavailable to me and I was wondering whether there was a box I could check to make this available in the options or anything really.
Â
At the moment I'm using Ansys version 19 R2 with a working student license.Â
Â
Much thanks if you have any idea of what I could do.

Forum ModeratorThe time averaging probably isn't in the data file by default. Under File look at solution data and (if required) add to the data file. If you're using cdat you will need to add the average data.Â
Any reason to use CFD Post over Fluent's output?

SubscriberHello,
Â
This is what I needed to know.
Thank you a lot !Â
The reason why I'd rather use CFD-post over the fluent output is that I needed to extract the data, which is an option I still haven't found in Fluent while I did found it in CFD-Post

Forum ModeratorHave a look at the tutorials (in Help), you should be able to get everything out of Fluent. You may need to copy & paste some data or use a transcript file.Â
