Running a non-linear FEA on some SS components. Load is a temperature load imported from CFD results. The analysis is solving, but when I look at the stress results they are unrealistically low and have these highly distorted elements. I have gotten previous results with linear analysis that don't include these distortions, but the stress results were very high (ergo the non-linear analysis). I'm using multi-linear isotropic hardening for the material information, and it's a curve I've used previously without getting abnormal results. Any ideas where to start looking?

Hi,
The stress value seem to be low (~ 0.017Pa) and it should not be the issue of element distortion. Can you check the results in true scale? Also, if you check the solver output did you see any element distortion errors?

However, when running the linear analysis of this same problem we had very high stress values. Do you know why they might suddenly be so low?
