uniform varying load in simply supported beam

      please tell me and show me how to apply uniform varying load in simply supported beam as i need to show it to my boss within 2 days.


      please help me.


       


      take any arbitarily vaue for all parameters and i just want to learn how to do it.

      Hi Sanjena,


        You can apply a spatial varying load or displacement by either using Tabular or Function inputs in the details view. Please see this section of the help.


        Also, what version and software are you using(Mechanical or APDL)?


        As an example, I created a simple line body in Mechanical and applied an uniformly varying line pressure, i.e., the relation is 10*x. You can see how the data/pressure load is tabulated on the right.

      Hi Sandeep Sir,


      I want to applied load in Y or Z direction, If I apply in that direction means the result is not coming it shows zero. So how to get that,?


      My problem is



      The load wants to be applied in a downward direction.


      If we applied UVL load in downward direction the result came as below







      We didn't get any deformation or shear force and bending moment in this case. Can you please help me to solve this problem.
