Under-relaxation of a source term

      Hey all,

I was wondering, if possible, how can one underrelax a source term like this:

So, it would "damp" a bit the system and stabilize the calculations.

      Kind regards

      Hi,

The incorporation of under-relaxation factors (URFs) into the system of algebraic equations can significantly moderate the iteration process by limiting the change in each of the transport variables from one step to the next.

? < 1 is under-relaxation. This may slow down speed of convergence but increases the stability of the calculation, i.e. it decreases the possibility of divergence or oscillations in the solutions.

You can change them using "Solutions - controls" in fluent

      Thank you.

But when I am changing those parameters under "Solutions-controls", am I relaxing all the terms of the transport equation, or only the source terms of such equation?

        Best,
        Diogo
