Hi there,

I am trying to define the settings of different contact regions and I find Mechanical does not allow me to select some surface-body edges as the contact side:

I do not understand what´s the problem since it worked fine in another two similar cases:

Any idea why or what/where the problem could be?

No: it´s not shared where I try to establish the contact (leg surfaces end-edges and washer-face):

 

It is share where it should be, between the leg surfaces and the tip body:

Meanwhile I managed to go ahead with a "trick": I moved the washer 0,1mm away from the edges creating a small gap between them with the idea of establishing contact using the setting "adjust to touch". Apparently it worked (even though this geometric modification setting is not available ¿?):

However I am not very confident about it and not sure this is making a working valid contact...

Any other suggestions/recommendations?
