SubscriberI'm trying to define two surface bodies to have rigid stiffness behaviour with plane strain condition for a 2D analysis. However, the stiffness behaviour stays yellow highlighted. Can someone please help me to resolve this issue?

In implicit analysis, you cannot define a line body, 2D plane strain body or 2D axisymmetric body as rigid body; however, you may also note that, in Explicit Dynamics analysis, 2D plane strain and 2D axisymmetric bodies can be defined as rigid bodies. You can refer to the following link for detailed overview on Stiffness behavior.

Thanks,
Sahil.

SubscriberI've assigned a plane stress behaviour for the 2D bending problem. The upper die (rigid) has bonded contact with top surface (material) and no separation between bottom die (rigid) and bottom surface (material). However the upper die is penetrating without any deformation in the material. Can you share some insight?

You can refer to the course on Prevent Rigid Body Motion in Contact - ANSYS Innovation Courses to get detailed overview and you can monitor the results by referring to the following link(Which is lesson 3 of the same course).

Thanks Sahil.
