Hi can someone explain to me the difference of using Fixed support, Displacement, and remote displacement

      Thank you

Fixed Support sets all Degrees of Freedom (DOF) to zero.  A solid element has 3 DOFs for x, y and z coordinates.

Displacement can set one or more DOF to zero or non-zero values. If there is a face, then the entire area of the face has to move by the value of displacement.

Remote Displacement allow you to pick a face, and a single point is created to control that face. You can apply a zero or non-zero value to any of the 6 DOFs.

is there a difference if i used a fixed support and a displacement with all x,y, and z coordinate locked to zero (ramped) ?

      Thanks for reply

      Exactly the same.
