SubscriberHi Everyone, I'm interested in modelling the interaction of two chemically different gas flows, via two separate inlets, through a shared volume and out a single outlet. I'm trying to pin point which program within Ansys is the best approach for this scenario?
I am currently using Discovery, but I can't seem to employ two separate fluids in the model.
Google is suggesting that Ansys Fluent using Species Transport is the correct method.
Any advise would be super helpful, Simeon.

Forum ModeratorI'd use Fluent. CFX is equally good, but Fluent's more common in industry and I've been using it a bit longer.Â
If the gases mix and can't stratify then it's species. If they don't mix at all (OK, more an issue for oil and water) or sort of mix but then stratify then you need a multiphase model.Â

SubscriberThanks Rob - sounds like Fluent using Species will be the one to use, appreciate your help.
