SubscriberHi,
I am trying to run an animated simulation as the one showed at 5:20 in this link "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0Js9N7BV_8". When I choose the plane (YZ) and field as Mag_B nothing shows up as shown in the video. Furthermore, when I check the field overlays dropdown menu I have Mag_B1, however, I am not able to animate it. A error message pops up as the one showed below. Any further guidance on the situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Ansys EmployeeHi,nMay I ask were you able to even plot Mag_B (not considering to animate it yet)?nJanuary 15, 2021 at 7:25 pmkitzo2
SubscriberHi,nIt is not showing under Results-->Create fields report-->rectangular plot --> calculator expressions. In fact nothing is showing up here under the quantity section after I chose calculator expressions under the category section. Sorry if my questions are rudimentary. I am very new to the software. nThanks!n

Ansys EmployeeHi, Array,nNo problem at all. nIt's normal that you don't see any calculator expression in fields report if your Geometry is none on the left of the fields report. I'm actually curious if you are able to even plot the colored Mag_B on your geometry plane (YZ): when you followed the steps in the video at 5:20, were you able to see the YZ plane change to blue color as in 5:31?nJanuary 15, 2021 at 9:06 pmkitzo2
SubscribernNo I am unable to even see that. nThanks!nJanuary 15, 2021 at 9:42 pmicellb1
Ansys EmployeeHi,nMay I ask if you've successfully solved the design? For example, did you see Normal completion of simulation on server in the Message Manager? Are you able to see the curves in L plot1 and Winding plot1 under Result tab?nIf the answer to the above questions are yes. The reason could possibly be that you solved a parametric sweep but you did not save fields at all sweep points, while you are trying to plot B at a non-nominal operating point. In this case, you can try the following:nRight click on Result-->Clean up solutions-->do deletionsnInstead of solving from Parametrics, solve from the nominal point:right click on Setup1 under Analysis tab-->click Analyze. After analyzing, try again and see if Mag_B can be plotted on YZ plane this time.nJanuary 15, 2021 at 11:06 pmkitzo2
SubscriberHi, ,nHow can I make sure my simulations also run for the magnetic portions. Instead of having to run the simulation and then doing as you said above after every simulation. Thanks!nJanuary 19, 2021 at 12:50 amicellb1
Ansys EmployeeHi, nMay I ask what you mean by magnetic portions?nViewing 8 reply threads- The topic ‘Trying to animate magnetic field simulation for wireless power transfer’ is closed to new replies.
