Translating a 2D solid body in 2D domain

Hello all, is there any possible ways to translate a solid body in fluid domain with a particular velocity without using UDF. I tried using mesh and frame motion but I end with un-successful attempts.

In post processing, one sphere remains stagent and other copy of it moves with defined velocity. How to resolve it.

      Thanks in advance.

Sliding mesh or dynamic mesh can be used: the motion can be defined as a simple velocity or a profile/expression. Both are covered in tutorials/videos, click on Help in Fluent and work your way through the page(s). n

Can I get similar effect using mesh motion and frame motion. And actually can you brief me what these 2 options do. In the above image, I simulated with mesh motion but the copy of circle moves not the original circle which is actually I want.n

Have a look in the tutorials, the mixing tank one covers the rotational approach. nIn your model you've moved a separate volume that's not connected. You need to move the hole not the solid you put there. n

Ok sir, but with the above said mesh motion techniques works better for this simple translation cases??n

Sliding can work, or layering (moving deforming mesh) but the latter will be a little slower. n
