Hi, 

I need help in the modal analysis followed by transient structural analysis in ANSYS. In transient analysis, after modal analysis, there is an option of expand results from in analysis settings. What is the effect of it? If I put transient analysis as an option, I can query strain in the model. If I choose modal, I could not query strain.

Also, In the base excitation methods, only acceleration or displacement options are available. If I need to give velocity as an input, what should I do for that?
