Hello there, I am conducting a transient acoustic analysis. I wonder how to add a point source of volume velocity with the following Gaussian pulse gp(t) to activate an acoustic system and if using
Coupled Field Transient
is the correct place.Â
Looking forward for your guidance.

Hi
Â
Scope mass source or pressure to a vertex and it is good (will be a point source) – write your pressure excitation equation in excel and then copy paste the time and amplitude tabular data from excel into coupled field transient mechanical to the mass source or pressure boundary condition on the vertex.
All the best
Erik
