SubscriberDear all,Â
I was wondering if it was possible to train a neural network inside a UDF in Fluent? Is there any built-in function in fluent udf libraries ?Â
If yes, do you have any references to suggest ?
Thanks in advance! -

Forum ModeratorIt's relatively common to write PID type control algorithms into UDFs but I can't recall anyone trying to write a neural network. Fundamentally, Fluent is a CFD code, and UDFs are there to extend it's functionality and allow for things we didn't know we wanted to model when Fluent was written. People have messed with user scalars and the like with UDFs in the past to use Fluent as a numerical solver, but it's not really intended for that purpose.Â
