Topology optimization based on modal analysis and interface with MATLAB

      Hi everyone

I am trying to do topology optimization based on eigenfrequency modal analysis. Is that feasible in Ansys? And also am I able to extract the sensitivity for topology optimization into MATLAB? Thank you so much!

I have already coupled Ansys APDL with matlab to see the sensitivity of some quantities considered as parameters (it can be the length of an element ...) on the response in stress for the static analysis or in frequency for the modal analysis. It was for parametric optimization. To do this, I had to write everything in an APDL script and then parameterize it and drive the whole thing with a matlab code that we had created.
For a complete topological optimization, I have never heard of coupling with matlab, but the Workbench tool has elements to do topological optimization, it's been a while since I did, but you will surely find videos on youtube that show it and also in the Ansys documentation which is particularly well done.
I hope that someone more experienced than me will bring more concrete answers.

      Best regards
