      Hi All,

I am having three plate which joined or holded by a single bolt as shown in figure, in case if i want to use a beam connection or fixed joint then how can i connect these plate  three using these coonection. as far as i know we can connect two plate easily, can we select two surface or curves in mobile scope .

      Hi,

Via beam connection or a fixed joint constraint top and bottom plates. Let the center plate be held by friction and if needed define cylindrical constraint in the hole through which the bolt passes.

Thanks for your reply, here that one bolt is holding all these three plate and applying Random vibration PSD profile so i cant use frictional contact.

Thanks for the update. At the bolt-hole location for the three plates, you can define a fixed support and then apply base excitation to the fixed support.

Thanks. Actually these plates are small part of one big assembly where frxed support is at different loacation so i cant keep bolt bolt hole as a fixed support, keeping bolt as solid may work but again i cant give any nonlinear contact so thats why i am not using it i just trying to figure out how can i connect these three plates using one beam connection because in actual case they are held by one bolt.
