SubscriberContext: Simulation is of cylindrical can being crushed.
Problem: Do not know direction of shell thickness. (See image below - top view of cylinder)
Possible solution: Maybe these options will let me specify the direction of thickness, but I don't know whether top results in the thickness going into the shell or out of the shell or vice-versa.

SubscriberAfter you mesh the surface, with the Mesh branch selected in the outline, on the Display tab in the ribbon menu, click the Thick Shells and Beams button on and off and you will see which side of the surface the element thickness is shown.
