THERMAL DESKTOP – Thermal/Structural Mapping

Hi, I saw that there is thermal structural mapping and that can be done with OpenTD using  OpenTD.PostProcessing.DataMapper.  I wanted to ask what's the best way to do this for an articulating surface.  Does the initial unarticulated state get mapped then that mapping is used for subsequent times as the thermal model articulates?  Curious the best way to approach that.

      Hi,

Could you provide a bit more detail about your setup and workflow?

      Specifically:

      • Can you describe the articulating body and the stationary portions of the CAD model?
      • How is the articulation being represented, and does the thermal model articulate along with the structural model?
      • Are you looking for a one-way thermal-to-structural mapping, or are you planning to implement a two-way coupling between Thermal Desktop and Mechanical?
      • Could you share more details about the workflow you're using (or planning to use) to transfer/map data between the thermal and structural models?

Any additional information on the geometry, motion, and analysis process would help us better understand the use case and recommend the most appropriate approach. Thanks!
