The simulation results of the Johnson-Cook model under high temperatures

Hello, I hope someone can help answer my question.

When conducting projectile impact tests using LS-DYNA with the Johnson-Cook model, why is the penetration velocity at high temperatures actually higher than that at room temperature? Is it due to the thermal softening effect? However, according to common knowledge, the strength of metallic materials decreases as temperature increases.

      Hello,

You have asked the same query here: The simulation results of Johnson-Cook model under high temperatures in LSdyna

I will keep the old one open.
