SubscriberI am getting the following Error when I start the simulation. The real set 69 and 68 has some error.nI have meshed the two bodies with 3 element along the thickness (Multibody mesh - Hex elements)nn*WARNING*: The behavior of contact elements (e.g. 3595808, 3595807)   n specified by real constant 68 is not consistent. Some of elements    n belong to a rigid surface, while others belong to a deformable      n surface.                                 n *WARNING*: The program could not find attached solid element for     n contact element 3595808. Check the element connectivity data.      n *WARNING*: Some target elements on target surface specified by real   n constant set 69 belong to symmetric contact (e.g. 68), some do not.   nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   160.656  TIME= 00:51:20n The normal of target element 3530184 is not consistent with the normal  n of target element 3530324 in real set 69. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   160.656  TIME= 00:51:20n The normal of target element 3530323 is not consistent with the normal  n of target element 3530324 in real set 69. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   160.656  TIME= 00:51:20n The normal of target element 3530324 is not consistent with the normal  n of target element 3530464 in real set 69. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   160.656  TIME= 00:51:20n The normal of target element 3530324 is not consistent with the normal  n of target element 3530325 in real set 69. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   168.562  TIME= 00:51:28n The normal of contact element 3595668 is not consistent with the normal n of contact element 3595808 in real set 68. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   168.578  TIME= 00:51:28n The normal of contact element 3595807 is not consistent with the normal n of contact element 3595808 in real set 68. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   168.578  TIME= 00:51:28n The normal of contact element 3595808 is not consistent with the normal n of contact element 3595948 in real set 68. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                          nn *** ERROR ***              CP =   168.578  TIME= 00:51:28n The normal of contact element 3595808 is not consistent with the normal n of contact element 3595809 in real set 68. Please use the ENORM     n command to correct it.                 I have tried everything, even refining the mesh, change the contact type. Change the contact and the target. But none of them is working.nI am not able to use the contact tool due to memory issues.nI am requesting someone to please help me out to solve this problem.n

Forum ModeratorHow many contacts do you have in your model? What error do you get when trying to evaluate the contact tool? It is necessary to understand which contacts have the real id 68 and 69. nAlternatively, you can also take the model to APDL and plot the element 3595809 and narrow down its location and contact.nELIST and NLIST command can help you with writing out entire elements and node list to a text file which you can use to find required element and node locations.n-AniketnHow to access Ansys help linksnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning Forumn
