SubscriberHello, I am running the ANSYS 2020 R1 student version. The geometry and the mesh files work perfectly but when I try to open the fluent the error keeps popping up that the fluent application failed to start. The first line of the fluent command prompt is unable to connect to the external socket. I don't know why such an error keeps repeating. Hope you can help me.Â

SubscriberHello,
Yes I restarted it, uninstalled the Ansys student and then deleted the entire folder and reinstalled and then again I tried and the same issue keeps persisting. I also tried giving permission to my firewall and the problem still persists. As far as I know fluent is the only software that shows this issue while trying to open.

Ansys EmployeeThere was also a suggestion on thread to open fluent from the components and then connecting it to the mesh. Did you try that?Â

Ansys EmployeeHello Gautham, can you please try running fluent as a stand alone mode and check if that works?Â
