SubscriberHow to measure optical power in a reversible light path ? Is the measured optical power going or returning? Also shown in the picture, there is no other device such as waveguide connected between the two ports, but the power difference is huge. port1 shows a power of -100dBm, which is supposed to be the minimum measurement sensitivity, while the power of port2 port is 12.01dBm. May I ask what is going on? -

Ansys EmployeeSorry for the confusion. OPWM measures the transmitted power. This is why the power at port1 of WGD_1 is its default value of -110dBm. it means no power is transmitted from port2 to port 1 in the waveguide.
