SubscriberHi everybody,Â
Â
I am trying to improve my mesh (tetrahedral to hexahedral) in order to extract the stresses in some paths. I have the mesh that you see in the figure below :
and I want a hexahedral mesh in the pointed areas that you can see below.Â
I have tried everything but I cannot make it. Any advice?Â
Thank you in advance

Ansys Employeeif the bodies are sweepable, you can use sweep method.Â
please see folllowing.Â

SubscriberHi, Thank you for your answer but the areas are not sweepable.Â

Forum ModeratorYou could set a face mesh type to quad, but that could cause problems in the volume mesh as the pyramid caps & tets of different sizes interact.Â

Ansys Employeeif areas are not sweepable then you will need to further split those bodies in geometry i.e. in spaceclaim to make them sweepable.
if even by splitting the bodies are not sweepable then you will have to go with tet meshing.Â
