Student License Not Activating — User Not Recognized Error

  Hi, I’m trying to activate my Ansys
  What I’ve tried:
  
  • Checked for an ansyslmd.ini file under Program Files\Ansys Inc\Shared Files\Licensing — [found/didn’t find it]
  • Confirmed I’m using the [Free Student / Academic] version
  
  Any guidance on getting my account recognized would be appreciated. Thanks!
  
  Student license and running into a “User Not Recognized” error.

  You shouldn't need an account, nor should there be anythin in the licencing as Student is designed to be run locally and the install contains all of the files. Assuming you installed on C: into the default path as Admin please re-post in https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/forums/forum/installation-and-licensing/ansys-free-student-software/ If you didn't follow those steps please reinstall and post if you're still having problems.
