I am able to download and extract the file, I run the setup file as administrator and go through the legal and destination, when when the actual download starts, i get this error, talking about a manifest file. You are able to x out the error and the download bar continues for like 20-30 min, hits 90%, gets a textless error, and fully crashes. Looking at my program files, Ansys is present, and I can launch programs that have their launcher in the respective file, like ACP, but I don't have the "workshop" thing and am also prob missing other things.

The install gets tricked that the uninstall_data.dat file doesn't exist but in fact, it exists with 0 kb size. So, the fix is to remove/delete the file

%APPDATA% Ansys\v242\ProdConfig /uninstall_data.dat

start the installation again.
