Structured O grid meshing issues

      I have almost finalised the meshing of this nozzle. 
      Its fairly structured however for the cone section I get an issue where the mesh isn't structured anymore, which I think may be due to the Hard edge sizing. It either occurs on the outer faces or the inlet/outlet faces. I have edge sizing (number of divisions) for the outer face longitudonaly and the outlet/inlet faces radially. 
      When I change different edge sizings to soft, the issue either moves to the inlet/outlet faces or to the outer longitudonal face of the cone. I have also tried to change the number of divisions for each face, which didn't work. Is there a way I can get around this? 


      Another issue I'm having is that the inflation layer doesn't work. When I tried meshing an inflation layer on the first cylinder I get the following errors.
      I have seen other people use an inflation layer without problems. However, my geometry is divided into multiple bodies, which might be the reason for failure.
      Does anyone know what I can do to stop these errors and get a structured mesh with an inflation layer?

      If some of your bodies are meshed correctly, I would suggest trying the Mesh Copy Mesh Copy Control (ansys.com) to create an identical mesh to the problematic ones.

      For your second question, create the inflation layers by section to narrow down where the issue is happening.

      Dear Federico,

      The largest issue im still having is the weird unstructued mesh of the cone.  With the multizone method it goes away but then the mesh at the interfaces between each section doesn't align. 
      I would to avoid copying the mesh as the distances of each section is slightly different which would change the streamwise cell length.
      After I changed a number of parameters for the inflation layer I get the following layers. I am now only looking at the first section (the first cylinder).
      This is the layers I want. However, the mesh has now changed to tetrahedral elements. Is this always the case as I had hexahedral elements at first?

      Read carefully how sweep deals with inflation. You may also want to think about the core volume along the nozzle - how big a change in cell size are you going to tolerate?
