Hi There,
I am trying to do a stress anlayis on a part of vehicle tub. Using the symmetry(1/2) of this model. Its a complex model with several parts. The solver takes long time to solve, doing iterations for several hours.Â
I am posting some of the last few iterations, and I just would like to know if the solver is struggling to converge on to solution, and does this mean there is a possible error in the model.ÂIteration= Â 7185 Ratio= Â 967391. Â Â Limit= Â 1.000000E-08 Wall= 68250.9
 Iteration=  7195 Ratio=  1.296625E+06 Limit=  1.000000E-08 Wall= 68347.3
 Iteration=  7205 Ratio=  1.323622E+06 Limit=  1.000000E-08 Wall= 68442.8
 Iteration=  7215 Ratio=  1.107598E+06 Limit=  1.000000E-08 Wall= 68537.Thank you

Ratio seems to be very high.Â
Are you running a linear analysis or a nonlinear analysis with Large Deflection turned on?
If it is a nonlinear analysis, can you trun off Large Deflection to test the model to see if it runs?
Also, if the model size is not very large and you have a sufficient memory in your computer, can you change the Solver Type to Direct (see attached picture below) to see if the model runs?
