1. How to simulate cylindrical pinned joints of a lifting beam? should it be a remote displacement or bearing load with component according to angle?
2. How to set standard earth gravity for a half symetrical model? SEG comes at the center of the half model.
3. If the material density is not defined in the task, how to get weight of the material normally?
Pls help! -

Hey,
- Check out this link for modelling pin joints Modelling Pin Joint (ansys.com)
- Regarding the standard earth gravity, the help states thatÂ
If you are still unsure about its application and modification using the coordinate system. Try setting it up for a simple symmetric model and verify its behaviour.
- And I didn't understand what you meant by task, I'm assuming that you meant that you didn't define it in engineering data. In that case the selection information in mechanical will show the volume of all the bodies selected, you can use that to manually find out the weight of the bodies.
Thanks
