SubscriberHi, i am trying to do some post processing for my Freeflow SPH simulation. Because SPH particle are only a point coordinate and not a volume element, i tried to create an iso volume with a specific radius so that the particle are overlapping as a SPH surface. My idea was that with this setup i should be able to use a clip plane to interpolate the data onto the plane e.g. velocity contures etc. The iso volume works fine but the clip plane is allways empty. Have someone an idea/fix or a workaround for that problem? Thx:)Â

SubscriberThe SPH part contains point elements only, and the particle-radius or iso-volume display is mainly a visualization representation. It does not necessarily create a connected volumetric mesh with cells that EnSight can geometrically intersect.
A possible workaround would be to use a third-party post-processing tool or a custom Python-based workflow to interpolate the particle data onto a structured plane or volume mesh. The reconstructed data could then be used to generate continuous velocity or pressure contours.
