SPG post in Workbench

      Since the SPG option was added to the Section object in the Workbench version of LS-Dyna is it possible somehow to display particles using the ANSYS interface?

      I know about the LS-PrePost, but I want to implement whole my simulation using ANSYS Workbench. I made a simulation of a uniaxial stress test using SPG (Section -> SPG) but when I try to look at the results I see only finite elements (basic mesh).

      Also, I want to know where the bonds between particles were broken (failure of the material). How can I do this?

      hi, currently you cannot visulise as particels and only support tet mesh, you can add some failure criteria like failure strain or gissmo model to an material model to see the "breakage"

      Hello Oleg,

      The Workbench LS-DYNA developers are working on adding the feature to post-process SPG particles in the Mechanical interface, but it is not ready yet. For now, you have to post-process the SPG particles in LS-PrePost.

      Also, as my colleague Ram mentioned, you can post-process the quantity of your failure criteria, for example, plastic strain at failure to see where the bond break. For many applications, the bond break between particles becomes obvious when the particles get further and further away from each other. We see this in cutting, machining, and screw applications. Here is an example of a screw going through some material. The screw is hidden in the images below so we can see  the threads being formed. The bond breakage in this case is obvious:
