Ansys EmployeeHello,
You should be able to do this using Fixed Point Groups (available from Release 2022 R2). A Fixed Point Group allows you to create a circular pattern of fixed (anchor) points, at equally spaced angular intervals. You can then Duplicate the group, and apply an RZ rotation to the duplicates, to build up the anchor points for your mooring system. For example:
This was created using Fixed Point Groups without any need to manually calculate the anchor point positions.
Linear or rectangular patterns can also be generated, or you can import a CSV file of attachment point positions. Connection Point Groups offer the same functionality for Connection Points on the structure.
I hope this helps.

SubscriberHello Mike,
I tried to lay my hands on some documents through the help menu but couldn't get a comprehensive guide on the Fixed Point Group.
I will be glad if you can direct me to part of the manual document or video, pls.
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Please refer to section 5.6 Attachment Point Groups in the Aqwa Workbench User's Manual. This covers both Fixed Point Groups and Connection Point Groups.
You can add a Fixed Point Group to the Aqwa model by right-clicking on the 'Fixed Points' object in the Outline tree, and selecting Add > Fixed Point Group.
Cheers, Mike
