SpaceClaim Keeps Stripping the Named Selections from my Model

This is extremely frustrating and infuriating.  I am importing CAD data from Catia with Named Selections with the NS selection key.  Mechanical pulls in all of the named selections without any problems.  But, because Catia models curved surfaces as split facelets I need to import into Space Claim to merge cylindrical faces so I can use them for stuff like bolt pretensions.  I have no idea why but SpaceClaim is stripping the named selections from my model so when I go back into Mechanical the Named Selections are gone.  I am ticking the "named selections" box in Workbench under geometry properties before importing and I have even gone into SpaceClaim to change the settings under SpaceClaim Options>File Options>Workbench>Named Selections but when I go back into SpaceClaim the box is unticked again!!!  😡

I have tried deleting the AppData>Roming folders and this doesn't help.

      I'm looking at AppData>Local>Spaceclaim>SpaceClaim.exe_######>User.Config and it says [NamedSelections]true[/NamedSelections] [NamedSelectionsKey]NS[/NamedSelectionsKey]

Why Won't this work!?!?!?  I was working and now it's not.  Every time I delete the AppData I have to redo a bunch of work to reset everything and it usually ends up biting me in the ass.  If anyone can suggest a solution I would be greatful.  I'm running Ansys 2023R1

Design Modeler does not strip the named selections but I have to modify each part instance independantly.  SpaceClaim allows me to modify 1 instance of the part and it will update all other instances.  Discovery also strips out the named selections.

I swear to god I spend more time screwing around with this software than I do getting any actual work done.

Try saving your changes in SpaceClaim after ticking the "Named Selections" box to ensure they stick. Updating Ansys 2023R1 or exporting named selections separately before editing in SpaceClaim might help.

Thank you for the reply.  When you say "save your changes", what do you mean?  SpaceClaim options only have an "OK" button and that's it.

I didn't know I could export the named selections.  How can I do that?  In Mechanical I see "Import from CDB File" but there is no export function.  This would be a total work around to deal with what appears to be a serious software bug but it could save me from pulling my hair out.
