Hello,
I am facing a problem while creating a fluid volume. I want to create a fluid volume for a Fire Hydrant valve. Inside the valve there is a plunger. While creating fluid volume in space claim (prepare--->Volume extract) a full volume is generated without considering the plunger. I dont know why? Please help... I have inserted the image file for your reference.
Thanks,

When I try to use combine to subtract I am getting 'Unable to intersect all the bodies'... first I selected my target body as fluid volume and I selected plunger as cutter....please help...Thank you.nDecember 9, 2020 at 4:26 amKeyur KanadeAnsys EmployeePlease check geometry in SpaceClaim. nSelect geometry in structure tree --> Use right click --> Select Check Geometry. nThe geometry should be error free to proceed. nIf geometry has any errors, please modify/recreate geometry at those places. nIf geometry has errors then combine operation gives errors. nRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student CommunitynDecember 10, 2020 at 1:38 amthamaraiSubscriberHi Keyur,nnThanks for your response. I checked my Geometry. It has no errors. I tried to split the plunger portion by using a plane and then tried to subtract using combine. I am getting volume partially. However I tried repeating the process to split the entire middle portion ( plunger) and combine tool. But did not get the exact volume. nKind Regards,nThamaraikannan M nDecember 10, 2020 at 6:35 amKeyur KanadeAnsys EmployeeThis may happen if surfaces are touching each other tangentially. nIdentify the locations where body surfaces are touching each other. nThen modify one body so that you have good intersection between them. Then use combine tool. nRegards,nKeyurnHow to access Ansys Online Help DocumentnHow to show full resolution imagenGuidelines on the Student CommunitynHow to use Google to search within Ansys Student CommunitynDecember 11, 2020 at 1:00 amthamaraiSubscriberHi Keyur,nThanks for your response. I will check the model.Viewing 6 reply threads- The topic ‘SPACECLAIM: Error in creating fluid volume’ is closed to new replies.
