Hello everybody,

I am trying to follow an example that you can find in the following website:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3naQu46NgI

My problem is that my spaceclaim generates a surface automatically from the made lines if they are in a closed form, I would like to keep my lines without generating a surface. Do you know if it is possible? (please see the problem in the attached video).

If I remove the surface, I removed the lines too. ¿Is it possible to remove a surface keeping the sketch?

I see that it is not straightaway but your procedure is valid for me. I could not understand how spaceclaim generates automatically the surfaces even if you do not want.

SpaceClaim curves (in general) are assumed to be temporary, in the sense that as soon as they are closed and brought to 3D, they are discarded and replaced with a surfaces whose edges are the curves. Similarly, surfaces that are extruded become solids, with no memory or retention of the surfaces they once were (since the more impactful notion of them is as a face of a solid.)

If you don't want that to happen, for whatever reason, you can either create your 2D curves as Layout Curves, or convert them to Layout Curves, and then they will not Fill themselves in that way, and retain their curve-ness.
