SpaceClaim and Linux

  On the new version of Ansys 2020, Is the SpaceClaim running on Linux?

  Can I ask why this is not the case. Just spent a few months moving across to a linux based system locally so that I could have a more seamless experience with our cluster and then I find to day that space claim which I need for the work I do is not available. Is there plans to change this, cause it sure is annoying that the product offered on different platforms differs so much.n

  It's linked into some of the libraries that SpaceClaim uses. I can't comment on the plans other than it's not in 2021R1 release. We tend to run the solvers on LINUX here, and CAD on the PC desktops, other than parametric runs it's not posed a problem.nWhat are you trying to do as we've figured out a range of approaches as we also use PC and LINUX systems. n

  My question directly relates to this problem.
  I want to do a parametric run for varying geometry but I'm now stuck in the link between windows with spaceclaim and linux with Fluent meshing and CFX solver.
  I already made a batch script that can call Spaceclaim and I automated the meshing using Pyansys.
  My current approach to bridging Windows/Linux issue was to do a remote powershell and execute my script with that.
  However, Spaceclaim does not start properly there. My guess is that maybe something is wrong with the license pull there, hence no license process is start.
