Could you give me some recommendations on what type of source I could use to model the transmission of an omnidirectional LED source, thank you.

If your LED is layered, thin-file type, I would suggest to use stackdipole:Â
FDTD vs stackdipole - halfspace emission in a multilayer stack
Usually it uses dipole source for simulation, and average the results with 2 or 3 dipole sources separately, depending on if the LED has symmetry.
