SubscriberHi,
I was trying to simulate a case where steam will be injected to a 3D rotating cylinder and the steam will be condensed and the water will be removed through a outlet. For that reason and for a simple calculation, at first, I want to simulate this thing in 2D. In a 2D circular domain steam will be injected through a source term and after condensation the water will be removed through a sink term. I am trying to use all the mass, momentum and energy source. Both source and sink terms contain water and vapor. IÂ am building the source and sink term by defining Named Expression.
When I am trying to input all mass, momentum and energy source and sink terms, It is showing that "Internal error: too many profiles."
When I am using only mass and momentum source and sink terms, the case is running but there is no progress even after 2/3 days.
So, what can I do in this case? Can you please suggest something how I can define the source and sink terms for this case?Â
Thank you,

Forum ModeratorI've seen this before, but can't remember the root cause. Which version of Fluent are you using?Â

Forum ModeratorOK, that may explain it. Expressions have been improved significantly since being added to the code so whatever caused the issue is likely to be been fixed in 21R2 or 22Rx. Current release is 2023R2. I'd also advise running models in Fluent standalone (open via the Windows Start menu) unless you need the parameter tools.Â
