If I want to make dimensions in the parameter model in Solidwork and thus I can use them in as input parameters for the parameter set for optimization in Ansys... can I do this in Solidwork itself or can I do this in Ansys after importing the file from Solidwork? Since I cannot add parameters for optimization when creating an assamply from SolidWorks

You can create the parameters in Spaceclaim or Discovery easily after importing the CAD. Here are some of the courses which explain how to to this
