Simplorer link to Maxwell transient

Hello, I'm building a voltage based simulation of a PMSM. for this purpose i build a very basic circuit in Simplorer and a basic fem geometry for the Maxwell 2D transient analysis, where I set "external" to the three windings.
When I insert the Maxwell component into the Simplorer circuit the software needs of course the three phases. Then it also needs:
      1) "MotionSetup1_in" which i guess it is the stator position that I'll connect to the ground
      2) "MotionSetup1_out" this i don't understand. The simulation I'm willing to do here is transient yes, but I'll use a fixed speed, as the inverter is fed with sine wave of constant frequency, so what should i provide at that interface? I don't think any mechanical mass information is needed, as ,theoretically, moment of inertia and similar things are not required as there is not change in speed.

thanks a lot to anyone which is able to explain the meaning of those two additional interfaces

This shirt is really worth the price! My expectations were completely surpassed by the ferrari racing blue miami grand prix shirt; it's fashionable, cozy, and fits like a dream.

I'm also interested in this topic, did you get any additional info? i was struggling understanding what to link to the output...

      Hello Giovanni,

To the terminal you have to connect the speed source to specify the speed at which the motor has to run. You can refer to the cosimulation example under Twin builder example>

Hi Reshmi, thanks for your answer and for the link to the example, it is very useful.

i got two more questions here:

        1. where do you set the initial currents? because in the example you said there's no setup of initial current in the fem model. Also, i can't find the way to set the intitial currents in the Simplorer study
        2. how can one extract the ECE model (including rotation of motor) to be used in Simplorer? (this i will need for an easy estimation of initial currents as well)

        thanks again :)

Hello, did you get any idea how to proceed?
