SubscriberHi
Is Lumerical able to simulate the silicon polymer hybridization(SOH) micro-ring modulators?
Has anyone had any experience with simulating these polymer-based micro-ring modulators?
Thanks in advance,
Maryam

I haven't seen this type of device simulated before but I believe it should be possible. We have a ring modulator example that shows the recommended workflow for simulating ring modulators. However the modulation mechanism in the example is different than your device. You will need to use an approach similar to the ferroelectric modulator example, where the electric field as a function of applied voltage is calculated with CHARGE and then imported to MODE, to get the effective index vs. voltage information.
