Hello all,
Trying to model the extended plate with a small hole using submodelling. The global model is made of a shell with no hole and has edges in place where the interface will be provided.
Named selections are created for interface edges with their own LS-Dyna Named Selection User IDs. The appropriate interface node components are created for these edges and written to the interface linking .ifsl file.
The local model is made of a solid with a small hole and has Named selections for interface faces with the same LS-Dyna Named Selection User IDs. The card was added to read the interface file to transfer loads from global model.
As a result, I have inconsistent deformation patterns for the area of interest in local and global models.
Then I read in the documentation that:
I repeated the output to two different .ifsl files with different names
but only the first of them is written during the solution!
So, I'm wondering what is the reason for the mistake in results in the submodel. Is it necessary to make 2 different isfl files for each cut boundary? If yes, why only the first of them is written during the solution?
Thanks)

Hello Dmytro,
Have a look at the following resources on submodeling with LS-DYNA:
Submodeling with LS-DYNA | Ansys Knowledge
Submodeling with Ansys LS-DYNA Software | Ansys Courses
You will find a submodeling guideline document in the following package:
http://ftp.lstc.com/anonymous/outgoing/support/EXAMPLES/WinSuite_models.zip

Let me know if it helps or not.

Hello Reno,
Thanks for reply. I've alredy read these rsources. There is no an example of shell-solid submodelling...shell-shell/solid-solid works well but shell-silid doesnt work for me(
Thanks

Hello Dmytro,
Do you have error or warning messages in the d3hsp or the mesXXXX files (MPP) or the messag (SMP) file?Â
Do you use the same process for solid-solid as for shell-solid?
Â
Reno.
